Янни поистине великий мультиинструменалист. Родившись в Греции он стал известен во всем мире благодаря потрясающим мелодиям синтезированного фортепиано и различных инструментов. Salvatore Adamo - J'Aime (I Like)АДАМО́ (Adamo) Сальваторе (р. 31 октября 1943, Комизо, Сицилия), бельгийский певец-шансонье. По происхождению итальянец. Поет на французском языке. EpicaEpica is a Dutch symphonic metal band founded by guitarist and vocalist Mark Jansen subsequent to his departure from After Forever. Epica-Memory Cry for the Moon (2002–2003) In early 2002, Mark Jansen left After Forever over financial differences and began looking for musicians to who would work towards a more commercial type of music project, initially named "Sahara Dust". In late 2002, the band courted Helena Michaelsen (from Trail of Tears) as its frontwoman, but shortly after she was replaced by the then unknown mezzo-soprano Simone Simons, Jansen's girlfriend at the time. The band's line-up was completed by guitarist Ad Sluijter, drummer Jeroen Simons, bassist Yves Huts, and keyboard player Coen Janssen. The name was later changed to Epica, inspired by Kamelot's eponymous album. Epica then assembled a choir (made up of two men and four women) and a string orchestra (three violins, two violas, two cellos and an upright bass) to play along with them. Still under the name Sahara Dust, they produced a two-song demo entitled Cry for the Moon in 2003. As a result, they were signed to Transmission Records. Cry for the Moon The Phantom Agony (2003–2004) Their debut album, The Phantom Agony, was produced by Sascha Paeth (known for having produced bands such as Angra, Rhapsody of Fire and Kamelot) and released in late 2003. The song "Façade of Reality" on the album was written about the September 11, 2001 attacks and includes fragments from speeches by Tony Blair. The album was followed by three singles: "The Phantom Agony", "Feint" and "Cry for the Moon". The Phantom Agony Consign to Oblivion / The Score (2005–2007) Their second release, entitled Consign to Oblivion, was influenced by the culture of the Mayan Civilization, which can be noticed on songs in the "A New Age Dawns" series. "A New Age Dawns" refers to the time system of the Mayan people, which extends up to the year of 2012, and makes no reference of what may happen past said year. Consign to Oblivion was composed with film scores as a basis, with Hans Zimmer and Danny Elfman being cited as major inspirations. The album features guest singing by Roy Khan (from Kamelot) on the song "Trois Vierges". Epica also joined Kamelot as a support band on parts of their tour for promotion of the The Black Halo album, to which Simons had contributed her vocals on the track "The Haunting (Somewhere In Time)". Two singles were released from the album, "Solitary Ground" and "Quietus (Silent Reverie)". Epica's non-metal album The Score - An Epic Journey was released in September 2005 and is the soundtrack for a Dutch movie called Joyride, though it can also be seen as their third album. Mark Jansen describes the album as typical Epica "only without the singing, without the guitars, no bass and no drums".[1] In 2005 and 2006 Epica went on their first tour throughout North America with Kamelot. After the tour, their drummer, Jeroen Simons, left the band, because of his wish to pursue other musical interests. In fall 2006, Simone once again contributed vocals to Kamelot's new album Ghost Opera, this time on the tracks "Blücher" and "Season's End". In December Ariën Van Weesenbeek from God Dethroned was announced at the official website of the band to be the drummer for their new album, though not to become a band member. The Divine Conspiracy (2007–present) In September 2007, Epica headlined their first tour through North America and released their latest album, The Divine Conspiracy, this time on a new label, Nuclear Blast. That December, Ariën Van Weesenbeek was announced to be Epica's permanent new drummer. They will once again tour North America in April 2008, with Into Eternity and Symphony X, this time with Amanda Somerville because of Simone's infection from MRSA. The first single of the album was released on August 10, 2007 entitled "Never Enough". In mid-2008 the second single was "Chasing The Dragon," though it didn't have a video to accompany it. Epica - Illusive Consensus Epica's performs a blend of gothic metal[2][3][4] and symphonic metal.[5][6] Another component of Epica's style is power metal[5] with their guitarist Ad Sluijter describing the band as "a bridge between power metal and gothic metal."[7] Vocalist Simone Simons has expressed a preference for the group to be described as symphonic metal[8] though the founder of the group Mark Jansen notes that they do not mind being called gothic metal.[9] The music of Epica is aggressive, bombastic[10] and excessive[6] with some songs being "epic, grand and majestic" and others "more subdued and introspective."[3] The band is also known to have progressive tendencies[11] while a gothic atmosphere and sentimentality is also present in their music.[3][6] Epica uses a "trademark of many symphonic and gothic metal bands" in contrasting "two extremes, death grunts and brutality on one side, airy female melodiousness on the other."[6] Eduardo Rivadavia of Allmusic notes that the band's "attraction ultimately hinges on exploring the sonic contrasts of light and dark; the punishing intensity of those elephantine guitar riffs and hyperactive drumming cast against the soaring, layered sweetness of the orchestrated strings and keyboards."[12] Simone Simons delivers operatic vocals in a mezzo-soprano range[11] though she has also been known to sometimes sing "with a clear alto voice that has a flawless tone and a lot of emotion."[3] Mark Jansen delivers death grunts "that are secondary to Simons' singing, but very important in terms of balance and variety."[3] The group is also known to employ human choirs and orchestras[11] with additional embellishments such as spoken word recitals and lyrics in Latin and Arabic.[5] настроение: Творческое Метки: Symphonic and gothic metal, видео

Dream Theater Dream Theater is an American progressive metal band formed in 1985 under the name "Majesty" by John Myung, John Petrucci and Mike Portnoy while they attended Berklee College of Music in Boston, before they dropped out to support the band. Though a number of lineup changes followed, the three original members remain today along with James LaBrie and Jordan Rudess. Dream Theater has become a successful progressive rock band, despite the drop in popularity of the genre since the mid-1970s. Although the band has had a few successful hits (notably "Pull Me Under" in the early 1990s, which received extensive MTV rotation), they have mostly stayed underground for their career, feeding off support from their fans. The band is well known for the technical proficiency of its instrumentalists, who have won many awards from music instruction magazines. Dream Theater's members have collaborated with many other notable musicians. Guitarist John Petrucci has been named as the third player on the G3 tour six times, more than any other invited guitarist, following in the footsteps of Eric Johnson, Robert Fripp, and Yngwie Malmsteen. The band's highest selling album is the gold selling Images and Words (1992), which reached #61 on the Billboard 200 charts.[1] Both the 1994 release Awake and their 2002 release Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence also entered the charts at #32 and #46 respectively and received mostly positive reviews. Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence also led to Dream Theater becoming the initial band reviewed in the Music Section of Entertainment Weekly during its opening week of release, despite the magazine generally preferring more mainstream music. Joe Satriani - Super Colossal (Live 2006) Joseph "Satch" Satriani (born July 15, 1956 in Westbury, New York, U.S.) is an American guitarist and former guitar instructor. He is heavily influenced by Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck.[1] Since 1990, Satriani has used his own signature guitar, the Ibanez JS Series, which is widely sold in stores.[2] He also has a signature series amplifier, the Peavey JSX. In 1988, Satriani was recruited by the Rolling Stones' Mick Jagger as lead guitarist for Jagger's first solo tour.[3] Later, in 1994, Satriani was also the lead guitarist for Deep Purple.[1] Satriani has also worked with a wide range of guitarists from many styles, including Steve Vai, John Petrucci, Eric Johnson, Yngwie Malmsteen, Patrick Rondat, Andy Timmons, Paul Gilbert, Marty Friedman, Kirk Hammett and Robert Fripp through the annual G3 Jam Concerts.[4] Biography and playing history  Satriani was inspired to play guitar at age 14 after learning of the death of Jimi Hendrix.[5] He reportedly heard the news during an American football training session, where he immediately confronted his coach and announced that he was quitting to become a guitarist. In 1974, Satriani studied music with jazz guitarist Billy Bauer and with reclusive jazz pianist Lennie Tristano. The technically demanding Tristano greatly influenced Satriani's playing. Satriani also began teaching guitar, with his most notable student at the time being fellow Long Island native Steve Vai. In 1978 Satriani moved to Berkeley, California to pursue a music career. Not long after his arrival he resumed teaching. His students included Kirk Hammett (Metallica), David Bryson (Counting Crows), Kevin Cadogan (Third Eye Blind), Larry LaLonde (Primus, Possessed), Alex Skolnick (Testament), Rick Hunolt (Exodus), Phil Kettner (Lääz Rockit), Geoff Tyson, and Charlie Hunter. When his friend and former student Steve Vai gained fame playing with David Lee Roth in 1986, Vai raved about Satriani in several interviews with guitar magazines. In 1987, Satriani's second album Surfing with the Alien produced popular radio hits and was the first all-instrumental release to chart so highly in many years. In 1988 Satriani helped produce the EP The Eyes of Horror for the death metal band Possessed. In 1989, Satriani released the album Flying in a Blue Dream. The album sold well, particularly in Texas.[citation needed] "One Big Rush" was featured on the soundtrack to the Cameron Crowe movie Say Anything. "The Forgotten Part II" was featured on a Labatt Blue commercial in Canada in 1993. "Big Bad Moon", one of Satriani's few songs to feature his vocals, was a minor hit in late 1989. In 1992, Satriani released The Extremist, his most critically acclaimed and commercially successful album to date. Radio stations across the country were quick to pick up on "Summer Song", while "Cryin'", "Friends" and the title track were regional hits. In late 1993, Satriani joined Deep Purple as a short-term replacement for departed guitarist Ritchie Blackmore during the band's Japanese tour. The concerts were such a success that Satriani was asked to join the band permanently[citation needed], but he declined, having just signed a multi-album solo deal with Sony, so Steve Morse took the guitarist slot in Deep Purple.  Satriani live with G3 in Milan in 2004 In 1996, he formed G3, a concert tour featuring three instrumental rock guitarists – originally Satriani, Vai, and Eric Johnson. The G3 tour has continued periodically since its inaugural version, where Satriani is the only permanent member, featured with a floating second and third member, including among others Eric Johnson, Yngwie Malmsteen, John Petrucci, Kenny Wayne Shepherd, Robert Fripp, Andy Timmons, Uli Jon Roth, Michael Schenker, Adrian Legg and Paul Gilbert. In 1998 Satriani recorded and released Crystal Planet, which went back to a sound more reminiscent of his late '80s work. Planet was followed up with Engines of Creation, one of his more experimental works featuring the 'Electronica' genre of music. During the subsequent tour, a pair of shows at the Fillmore in San Francisco were recorded in December 2000 and released as Live in San Francisco, a two-disc live album and DVD. Over the next several years, Satriani regularly recorded and released new music, including Strange Beautiful Music in 2002 and Is There Love in Space? in 2004. In 2006 Satriani recorded and released Super Colossal and Satriani Live!, another two-disc live album and DVD recorded May 3, 2006 at the Grove in Anaheim, CA. On August 7, 2007 Epic/Legacy Recordings re-released Surfing with the Alien to celebrate the 20th anniversary of its release. This was a two-disc set that includes a remastered album and a DVD of a previously never-before-seen live show filmed at the Montreux Jazz Festival in 1988.[6] Satriani's newest album, titled Professor Satchafunkilus and the Musterion of Rock, was released on April 1, 2008. [7] It was revealed on May 29, 2008 that Satriani is involved in a new hard rock project with former Van Halen members Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony and Red Hot Chili Peppers drummer Chad Smith. Yngwie Malmsteen Yngwie Johann Malmsteen (pronounced /ˈɪŋveɪ ˈmɑːlmstiːn/ in English) (born Lars Johan Yngve Lannerbäck on June 30, 1963 in Stockholm, Sweden) is a Swedish guitarist, composer, multi-instrumentalist, and bandleader. Malmsteen became notable in the mid-1980s for his technical fluency and neo-classical metal compositions. Symphony X is an American heavy metal band from New Jersey founded in 1994 by guitarist Michael Romeo. Their 1997 album The Divine Wings of Tragedy and their 2000 release V: The New Mythology Suite have given the band considerable attention within the progressive metal community. Musically, Symphony X is often compared to other progressive metal bands such as Dream Theater and Fates Warning. They play in complex timings and odd meters while incorporating elements of symphonic metal and more traditional heavy metal into their sound. Opeth - To Rid The DiseaseУ меня сегодня настроение такое, не хочу о любви говорить. К черту все, не хочу! Я болею, и надоело болеть, надоело плакаться и жаловаться!
Музыка-вот только что лечит! Прослушала опять предыдущий ролик! Вот такое только и поднимает настроение. Но сейчас рок будет. Мой сын мне посоветовал послушать "Opeth", у него это сейчас бзык... Последний альбом-"Damnation". Нашла на YouTube несколько песен из этого альбома. Одна из них называется : "To Rid the Disease" (освободиться от болезни). Мне бы не мешало бы... Хотя песня не из веселых...
